Several local and national achievements have been achieved by PHUI. In October 2011, PHUI was also success in holding hockey national tournament named UI - Liga Hockey Mahasiswa Nasional (Lihomanas) VIII at Senayan, Jakarta.
This year we will hold our first ever established international indoor hockey tournament namely Universitas Indonesia Indoor Hockey International Tournament (UI-IHIT) 2013. It will take place at campus area of Universitas Indonesia, Depok, from November 30th to December 6th. The theme of this event is “Through a Great Sportsmanship. We Shape Future Leaders”.
This tournament invites some of the Asian-Oceania countries through a warm invitation. The tournament is scheduled to be regularly held by PHUI once in every two years with inaugural event in 2013.
In addition to the indoor hockey tournament, we are committing in bringing new ideas of academic links/ connection through the meeting of the heads of Universities and Cultural Night event as a media for cultural exchange.
Our intention remains as always to promote good quality competitive indoor hockey in an atmosphere of friendly camaraderie with the main aim to foster and develop lasting friendships among participating teams and countries.
This event will be excellent platform for students from various universities both at home and abroad to attain achievement and positive competition in hockey sports.
